Message: Nick mentioned in this week's after show that he was interested in hearing about a preacher who became an atheist, and I just wanted to mention that he should check out the book Losing Faith in Faith: From Preacher to Atheist by Dan Barker. Reading that book was one of the final nails in the coffin for me in terms of my spiritual beliefs. Barker was a Christian preacher who went on to not only become an outspoken atheist, but became the co-president of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, one of the largest atheist organizations in the country. I followed the FFRF for several years, until I realized they were not only a bunch of commie liberal douches, but also completely intolerant cunts every bit as retarded as the Bible thumpers. Basically he's completely unstable and went from one religious extreme to the other, but the book was a pretty good read, at least I thought so when I was younger and unsure of my beliefs.
